Since 1973, Frank Mutz has been a defining presence at Moncrief Heating and Air Conditioning, leading the company as president for five decades. Under his leadership, Moncrief became known by customers, employees, vendors, and partners for quality work, integrity, reliability, dedication, and loyalty. For Frank, success has always been about relationships, and he instilled those values into the company’s culture.
In 2023, Frank transitioned to the role of President Emeritus, continuing to provide support, guidance, and a steady influence as Moncrief moves forward in partnership with Ace Hardware Home Services. His legacy and vision remain central to the company’s identity, ensuring the Moncrief way of doing business continues for generations to come.
As General Manager of Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, Chris Compton leads day-to-day operations with a focus on performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction. He ensures teams are aligned, processes are efficient, and every department works together to deliver reliable service and lasting comfort in the homes we serve.
With more than 20 years of experience across a variety of roles within the company, Chris brings deep operational knowledge and a practical leadership approach. His strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and commitment to excellence have earned the respect of colleagues and team members alike. Chris leads with a customer-first focus, setting the standard for service quality and ensuring every customer receives the highest level of care.
As Sales & Installation Manager at Moncrief, Jerry brings strategic leadership and customer focus to every stage of the HVAC sales and installation process. Drawn to the HVAC industry by its evolving technology and the vital role of indoor air quality in overall well-being, Jerry now leads Moncrief’s sales and installation teams with a focus on delivering smart, efficient, whole-home comfort solutions. His approach combines technical knowledge, operational excellence, and a belief that strong relationships are key to long-term customer satisfaction.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
As Qualifying Agent and New Home Project Manager for Ace Hardware Home Services in the Southeast, Phil Mutz ensures compliance with all relevant local and state regulations and serves as a back-up license holder for many of our branches. He oversees quality assurance, making sure all work meets code and safety standards, and manages customer home projects with a focus on quality control for new home builds and renovations. Phil also designs heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems for custom homes and renovation projects, tailoring each plan to the unique needs of the homeowner, builder, and architect while ensuring performance, efficiency, and code compliance.
An Atlanta native, Phil holds a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Colorado State University and a Refrigeration Sciences Degree from Chattahoochee Technical College. He began his career as a Service Technician at Moncrief and worked his way into leadership roles, building expertise in operations, technician development, and whole-home comfort solutions.
Amanda leads marketing and communications for Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, bringing more than 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and public relations. She joined Moncrief in 2016, continuing a family legacy as a fifth-generation member involved in the HVAC industry. An Atlanta native, Amanda is a proud Woodward Academy graduate and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Alabama.
Before joining Moncrief, Amanda managed national accounts for leading advertising agencies, overseeing campaigns for brands including Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific, and Rollins (Orkin). At Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, she provides leadership and strategic direction for marketing, brand development, and customer communications, ensuring the company’s long-standing reputation is preserved while driving growth in alignment with future goals.
Sheree Wright leads the District Call Center for Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, guiding the teams who provide the very first impression of our company. With more than 30 years in customer service—23 of those in leadership—she brings unmatched expertise, professionalism, and a deep commitment to excellence. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a proud U.S. Army veteran, Sheree’s career has been shaped by service, discipline, and a passion for people. Her focus on building strong, high-performing teams ensures that every customer interaction is handled with care, efficiency, and a personal touch. Through her leadership, Sheree helps create the exceptional customer experience that defines Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services.
Johnathan Carcamo serves as HVAC Service Manager for Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, leading the service team with a focus on technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. He began his career as an apprentice and worked his way up through the ranks, gaining hands-on experience that gives him a deep understanding of both the technical and customer service sides of the business.
Known for his positive attitude and problem-solving abilities, Johnathan is highly regarded by customers and technicians alike. His approachable leadership style and commitment to finding the right solutions ensure that every service call is handled with care, professionalism, and a focus on creating lasting comfort in our customers’ homes.
As Plumbing Manager for Moncrief–Ace Hardware Home Services, Justin Zalonis oversees all aspects of the plumbing operation, from daily workflows to long-term strategy. With a deep knowledge of state and local codes, he ensures every project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
Justin’s career with the company began more than two decades ago as an apprentice. Through hard work, skill, and leadership, he advanced to service technician and into management, earning the respect of both customers and colleagues. Today, his number one priority is delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each customer while supporting and developing the team that makes it possible.
As District Warehouse Manager, Daniel Mejia oversees warehouse operations and inventory across all branches, ensuring trucks and warehouses are fully stocked for heating, cooling, and plumbing jobs. His focus is on eliminating downtime and streamlining operations so technicians have exactly what they need, exactly when they need it.
With nearly a decade of HVAC industry experience since beginning his career in 2015, Daniel brings both hands-on knowledge from the field and a strategic mindset to warehouse leadership. He has developed a deep understanding of what it takes to keep teams equipped and ready to serve customers at a moment’s notice. Daniel is passionate about supporting both employees and customers, and he takes pride in building systems that keep the operation running smoothly.
