Wayne hails from Atlanta and served in the U.S. Navy. Incredibly Wayne has been with Moncrief for over 45 years — almost half a century. It is impossible to imagine Moncrief without him. Wayne has always put the customer first and Moncrief's profit second — and that's the way it should be. Wayne is and always has been the de facto leader of the outside service department. All the other technicians look up to Wayne with respect boarding on reverence. When training other technicians, Wayne's style is to let the trainee believe that they found the problem and figured out the solution all by themselves and not through Wayne's subtle and, if necessary, not-so-subtle hints. Moncrief has not, will not and cannot advertise a low "get-in-the-door" price like many of our competitors both because Moncrief's DNA isn't configured that way and because Wayne simply refuses to pile on and add on all the unnecessary and over-priced extras to the advertised low-ball price — all to the disadvantage of the customer. If Wayne refuses to peddle the "extras", not one single other technician would either. Moncrief has always and will always advertise the full end price — without any bait and switch in the mix. Importantly, Wayne has always looked after and represented the interests of the other Moncrief technicians when meeting with senior management. If Wayne says no to a proposed Moncrief policy, then it’s no — end of discussion. Wayne makes himself available on his phone 24-7 to all our technicians. For years Wayne has been the last to go home in the evening and only leaves work when all technicians have finished or nearly wrapped up the last job.
